1tspSugar
1cupFat-free milk or Water
¼cupVegetable oil
Supplies You'll Need:
Measuring spoons
Measuring cups
large mixing bowl
Rolling pin
Fork
Large skillet
Spatula
1
In a mixing bowl, combine flours, baking powder, sugar and milk. Stir until the dough comes together.
2
Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface until smooth. Cover and let rest for 20 minutes. (Or wrap well and refrigerate overnight.)
3
Divide dough into 8 pieces. Roll each piece into a circle or an oval, using a little extra flour to keep the dough from sticking. Prick through dough several times with a fork.
4
Heat oil in a large skillet over medium. Cook bread until golden brown, about 3 minutes each side.
Tip: Let the dough rest after kneading which helps the rounds to roll out more easily.
Tip: Try pricking the rolled out rounds w/ a fork or small knife to help keep them flat while cooking.
